Pinder went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Red Sox.

The rookie made it a three-run fourth for the Athletics by launching a 427-foot shot to center that plated Trevor Plouffe. Pinder continues to get selective playing time and has enjoyed a productive May, as he's now slashing .318/.400/.682 with two doubles, two homers, five RBI, a .450 wOBA and 40 percent hard contact rate over 25 plate appearances during the month. He continues to receive fairly regular opportunities due to his versatility, as he's already played second base, shortstop and right field for the A's while also serving as a designated hitter.
