Pinder was placed on the paternity list Tuesday.
Pinder was on the bench for the Athletics' past three games as he's served as utility depth in Oakland this season. He'll now be sidelined for the next several days while on the paternity list, although his absence shouldn't have a major impact on the team's lineup. Outfielder Seth Brown was recalled from the team's alternate training site in a corresponding move.
