Blue Jays' Aaron Sanchez: Deals with blister in Sunday's start
Sanchez dealt with a blister issue during Sunday's rough outing against the Red Sox, and his next start is too be determined, MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm reports. He matched a career high with six earned runs, and his 3.1 innings Sunday marked his shortest start since Apr. 11 of 2015.
The exact nature of the injury can depend on the day for Sanchez. He dealt with a similar wound, which has been described as a hot spot, in spring training, and it resurfaced Sunday. The Blue Jays were already planning on pushing Sanchez's next start back a couple days in an effort to manage his workload, and that now seems like a certainty. Stay tuned for word of when he'll make his next start, but owners should be aware that he is not a lock to make a start during this upcoming week.
