Burns will be a part of the Blue Jays' 60-man roster.

The 29-year-old spent last year in the Blue Jays' minor-league system after playing in the Korea Baseball Organization during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He returned to Toronto as a non-roster invitee in December and went 8-for-24 with five runs and four RBI before play was suspended. Burns will get a chance to further his development in his comeback bid as part of the 60-man roster, but it'd be a bit surprising to see him play a big role with the major-league club in 2020.
