Since being activated from the minor-league DL, Smith (elbow) has logged two scoreless appearances for Triple-A Buffalo.

Smith will work his way back into form as he hopes to make his MLB debut at some point in 2017. He owns a stellar 2.23 ERA and 192:45 K:BB over 114 minor-league games (169.2 innings). With the Jays' stable of pitchers dealing with numerous health problems, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Smith break into the majors sooner rather than later.
