Manager Brian Snitker confirmed that Colon (oblique) will come off the 10-day disabled list to start Wednesday against the Giants, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

As expected, Colon will be ready to rejoin the rotation this week after reporting no issues with his oblique during his bullpen session a few days earlier. Rather than moving prospect Sean Newcomb to the bullpen or to Triple-A Gwinnett to make room for Colon, the Braves will instead go with a six-man rotation this week. If Newcomb continues to perform well and Snitker ultimately decides to remove a starter from the rotation down the road, Colon could be in danger of losing his spot after submitting a 7.78 ERA and 1.71 WHIP over his first 12 starts of the season.
