Kelly was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday, Kevin McAlpin of BravesRadioNet reports.

With John Gant landing on the DL on Tuesday, Atlanta was in need of another starting pitcher to fill the void and Lucas Harrell got the call while Kelly was sent to Triple-A. Kelly, who's now made four stints with the Braves this season, struggled in June giving up nine earned runs over 9.2 innings (8.38 ERA). He'll head back to Triple-A Gwinnett, where he'll reassume a 4.09 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 50.2 innings.
