General manager Alex Anthopolous said Wednesday that the Braves will be cautious and limit their starters to 2-4 innings their first couple times through the rotation, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Spring training 2.0 next month will only provide so much warm-up time for pitchers following the three-month shutdown of official activities, so it's no a major surprise to see teams wanting to take it slow. Each team will begin the 60-game season with a 30-man roster, so there should be plenty of depth to cover the innings from the shortened starts. Foltynewicz had a 4.54 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 105:37 K:BB over 21 starts last season and is looking for a rebound effort in 2020.
