Braves' Mike Foltynewicz: Will miss next start

Foltynewicz will be forced to miss his next projected start after suffering a finger laceration during Thursday's outing, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Foltynewicz lasted just four innings while giving up three runs due to the injury, and will not wind up taking the mound early next week because of it. In his place, Atlanta will turn to either Max Fried of Lucas Sims during Wednesday's game against the Nationals. As long as Foltynewicz doesn't experience any lingering issues or have a setback, he should be able to start one of the Braves' doubleheaders on Sept. 25.
