Spangenberg cleared waivers Thursday and was outrighted to Triple-A San Antonio.
It's no big surprise that Spangenberg went unclaimed, as the 28-year-old is off to a poor start for San Antonio, hitting .212/.305/.317 in 32 games. He'll remain as organizational depth for Milwaukee.
