Brewers' Lewis Brinson: Throwing and hitting in rehab
Brinson (hamstring) has been able to hit off a tee and throw from the field during his recovery in Arizona, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
It appears as though Brinson still needs more time recovering from the major hamstring injury, since he's yet to begin taking live cuts at this point. The outfielder was looking at a 4-to-6 week return once he was placed on the disabled list Aug. 15, which would've placed an optimistic return right around the beginning of this week. Moving forward, a more reliable timetable should become present as Brinson starts ramping up his activity.
