Brewers' Matt Garza: Stuck with no-decision despite one-run effort

Garza pitched six strong innings Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk in a no-decision versus the Padres. He also struck out three.

Unfortunately for the veteran right-hander, the Brewers were unable to take the lead until the ninth inning, keeping Garza out of the win column despite another solid effort. With only one run allowed, he lowered his ERA to 2.43 on the season, and although he threw 58 of his 91 pitches for strikes, he managed to get outs when he needed to and kept the Padres off the board until his final inning of work. Garza will look to keep the good times rolling in his next start Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
