Davies (5-2) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings Thursday in a win over San Diego. He struck out three.

It was a solid performance for the 24-year-old righty, who got through the sixth inning for the first time this season. He has now won five of his last six decisions, and looks to be trending in a positive direction after a disappointing April in which he posted a 6.57 ERA and 1.86 WHIP. He'll take the mound again Wednesday at home against Toronto.
