Cardinals' Anthony Garcia: Optioned to Triple-A

Garcia was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.

Garcia, who was competing for a reserve role in the outfield, didn't do much to distinguish himself in camp, going 6-for-24 with a pair of homers in Grapefruit League games. The 25-year-old should be in line for everyday at-bats with Memphis, but may need an injury to hit one of the outfielders on the big club before he receives his first promotion to the majors.
