Peralta will head to the DL for a second time this season as he deals with a thumb issue that flared up during a check swing in Sunday's game. The 34-year-old already missed two months of the season due to a thumb injury but the team has said that this ailment is unrelated. Greg Garcia figures to see a boost in playing time at shortstop while Peralta is on the DL.
