Nogowski is part of the Cardinals' player pool that will report to summer camp July 1, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

The 27-year-old's professional career dates back to 2014, but he seemed to have a reasonable chance at seeing his first big-league action in 2020 based on a .295/.413/.476 slash over 463 plate appearances with Triple-A Memphis last season. Nogowski will have a chance to make a case for a spot on the 30-man Opening Day roster in the three-plus weeks leading up to the start of the regular season, but he's more likely to continue his development with a pool of up to 30 non-active players throughout the season if he fails to make the cut.
