Cardinals' Justin Miller: Out with elbow strain

Miller landed on the 10-day injured list with a right elbow strain Saturday.

The move ends Miller's regular season, as there are just nine days left on the schedule. He'll close the year with a 6.16 ERA in 19 major-league innings for the National and Cardinals. Whether or not he'll be in the mix to return for the playoffs remains to be seen, though it would have to be a very minor strain for him to make it back by the Wild Card Game.
