Schrock has been included in the player pool that will report to the Cardinals' summer camp July 1, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Schrock has logged 199 games at Triple-A Memphis over the last two seasons without a major-league invite, but he'll have an opportunity to make his case for a spot on the expanded Opening Day roster over the three-plus weeks ahead of the start of the 2020 season. The 25-year-old was once considered a particularly promising prospect in the Athletics organization after hitting over .300 in five of his first six professional stops, but he's seen a slight downturn in his cumulative hitting numbers since his trade to the Cardinals prior to the 2018 season.
