Cardinals' Seung Hwan Oh: Effective in non-save situation

Oh fired two scoreless innings in Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox, giving up a hit and issuing a walk while recording two strikeouts.

The closer preserved a 4-4 tie in what was his first multi-inning outing since May 1. Oh has pitched to some contact this season but has limited the damage after some early stumbles, with Wednesday's effort marking his sixth straight scoreless appearance. He also hasn't surrendered an earned run since April 17 against the Pirates, lowering his ERA from 9.53 to 2.61 over that span.
