Cardinals' Tim Cooney: Sidelined at Triple-A with shoulder injury
Cooney is on the minor league DL with a shoulder issue, the Memphis Commercial Appeal's Pete Wickham reports.
He was experiencing general soreness in spring training, and this seems to be a carry over of that ailment. The Cardinals have not released anything to suggest it is more than just soreness/fatigue, but until Cooney returns to game action, this is still somewhat concerning. He is at Triple-A Memphis, but if he can return to full health, he could be the next pitcher in line if the big league rotation needs reinforcements.
