Butler (1-0) allowed two runs on three hits and five walks while striking out three across three innings, but received no decision Friday against the Brewers.

Butler struggled to locate the strike zone, and as a result he burned through 92 pitches to end his day after three innings. After firing six shutout innings in his first start May 12, he was far less impressive in his second start, and despite a 2.00 ERA, he'll likely stick in the rotation only until Brett Anderson (back) returns from the disabled list. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Giants.
