Cubs' Hector Rondon: MRI reveals bone chips

Rondon recently underwent an MRI which revealed bone chips in his elbow, CBS Chicago reports.

No structural damage was found, but the bone chips are causing inflammation in the elbow. Rondon was treated with a cortisone shot and will not throw for a week. If he makes it back at all before the end of the regular season, Rondon will have a very limited window to contribute.
