Happ went 3-for-4 with a walk in Wednesday's 19-5 loss to the Padres.
Chicago has now dropped nine consecutive games, but it's been through no fault of Happ. The 27-year-old has slashed .361/.439/.583 during the losing streak and has now recorded at least one hit in all but one of his last 14 starts. He'll serve as Chicago's designated hitter and No. 3 batter in Thursday's series finale.
