Bryant's 395-foot long ball off reliever Jason Motte in the sixth inning turned a narrow 3-1 lead into a comfortable 5-1 edge. The 25-year-old third baseman is heating up at the dish with five hits in his past two games and at least one run scored in eight of his past nine. Bryant's .293/.410/.538 line is remarkably similar to the .292/.385/.554 output he produced a season ago.
