Daniel McCutchen designated for assignment Monday

The Rangers have designated pitcher Daniel McCutchen for assignment Monday.

The club needed to activate Colby Lewis for his start, and decided to part with McCutchen. McCutchen appeared in one game, tossing 2 1/3 innings with the club. He allowed two earned runs during the appearance.
