Diamondbacks' A.J. Pollock: Records double in rehab game Saturday

Pollock (groin) played center field for five innings and went 1-for-2 with a double and walk in a rehab game Saturday with Triple-A Reno.

It was a solid showing for Pollock, who appeared in his first game since mid-May after a groin strain forced him to the disabled list. The Diamondbacks haven't outlined a timetable for the outfielder's return to the big club, but he's expected to dress for Reno again Monday and may need only one full, nine-inning game in the outfield with the minor-league club before he's activated. Gregor Blanco, who has been serving as the Diamondbacks' primary center fielder over the last month, will likely settle into a reserve role once Pollock is back.
