Diamondbacks' Jake Lamb: Leads 10-run outburst with two homers

Lamb went 2-for-5 with two homers, a walk and five RBI in Friday's 10-1 win over the Padres.

Lamb ignited the Diamondbacks' eight-run first inning, as his 435-foot three-run shot off Jered Weaver kicked off the scoring. The third baseman would then add a solo blast off reliever Craig Stammen in the sixth inning to give him four homers in three games. After hitting just .146 over a 13-game stretch from April 24 to May 10, Lamb has busted out in a big way over his subsequent seven contests to atone for the down period of production. He's carrying a .448/.529/.931 slash line and has compiled four homers and 11 RBI over that span.
