Soria pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout to earn the save in Wednesday's 6-4 win over Pittsburgh.

Soria has logged five saves in his last six appearances, and all six of his saves have come in nine July outings. The veteran reliever hasn't been all that steady this year with a 4.45 ERA and 1.34 WHIP, but he's only given up three runs in his last nine innings, and they all came in one appearance. He appears to be Arizona's top closing option for now, but Tyler Clippard logged a scoreless inning Wednesday in his return from a shoulder strain. He could ultimately challenge Soria for the ninth-inning role.
