Brito (finger) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Tuesday.

Brito's chances of winning a reserve role in the outfield ended early in spring training after he underwent surgery to repair a dislocated finger on his left hand back in March. With the 24-year-old expected to require two months of recovery time before he's cleared to resume baseball activities, it was an easy decision for the Diamondbacks to move him to the 60-day DL in order to open up a 40-man roster spot. The Diamondbacks will use one of those spots to add one of the two non-roster relievers that earned roles in the bullpen for Opening Day, Jorge De La Rosa and Tom Wilhelmsen.
