Dodgers' Amed Rosario: Loses roster spot to Betts

The Dodgers designated Rosario for assignment Monday.

Just two weeks after the Dodgers acquired him from the Rays, Rosario's second stint in Los Angeles will come to an end after he appeared in just five games for the club while going 3-for-11 at the plate. With the Dodgers needing to open up room on the active roster for Mookie Betts' (hand) return from the 10-day injured list, Rosario ended up being the casualty. Rosario will have the ability to elect free agency if no other team is willing to claim him off waivers and cover the money remaining on his $1.5 million salary for 2024.
