Joe cleared waivers and was returned to the Dodgers' organization Saturday, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Joe was given 15 at-bats before the Giants made up their mind not to keep him around. He managed just a single hit. Joe played 49 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City last season, hitting .294/.385/.494.
