Ryu (shoulder) is now playing long toss at 90 feet, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The Dodgers are being cautious with Ryu, inching him along in his recovery from late-May shoulder surgery. He began a throwing program over a month ago but has not yet extended his long toss past 100 feet, meaning a return to mound work is still a ways off. There seems to be optimism that Ryu could be ready for spring training, but his progress will be worth monitoring over the winter months.
