Dodgers' Trayce Thompson: Will make spring debut Saturday

Thompson (back) is expected to make his Cactus League debut Saturday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

This will be a major step for Thompson, who has been out since last July with a devastating back injury that included two fractures. The young outfielder has been gradually eased into baseball activities this spring, but look for Thompson to get more opportunities as Cactus League play progresses. He'll be competing for a role within a crowded Dodgers outfield this coming season.
