And I thought last week's two-start pitcher assortment was deep. Yeesh.
It doesn't get much better than this, folks. If the "sleeper" designation is limited to those owned in less than 80 percent of CBS Sports leagues, then I can come up with about six sleepers from this list.
The second-best sleeper, Sean Newcomb, is also one of the least owned, available in more than 40 percent of CBS Sports leagues. I'm guessing it's because he doesn't have a win yet, but if he keeps pitching like he has, he'll correct that anomaly twice over with this week's matchups.
Mike Fiers, Alex Cobb, Nick Pivetta and even Hyun-Jin Ryu, at least in points leagues, also get a sleeper nod from me this week. In categories leagues, the startables from this group might cut off a little higher, maybe with Jordan Montgomery at No. 21, but it depends how careful you need to be with ERA and WHIP. In points leagues, where innings are the higher priority, I'd be willing to roll the dice on any pitcher ranked 27th or higher, provided I had the roster space.
And you may need to be a little more aggressive this week since your opponent also figures to have two-start pitchers aplenty.
