Leone (4-5) allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the win Wednesday over Arizona.

The right-hander kept Arizona off the board in the seventh inning and then became the pitcher of record when Kris Bryant's sacrifice fly plated the lone run in the bottom of the frame. Leone has been effective and a little unlucky in September, allowing five runs (two earned) across 14 innings. He's emerged as a high-leverage option this year with a 1.59 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 46:21 K:BB, two saves and 14 holds through 51 innings.
