Strickland's appeal was denied by MLB and he will begin serving his six-game suspension Monday against the Braves, Andrew Baggarly of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Strickland appealed his suspension immediately after it was handed out, and he is just now set to serve it out after MLB decided to uphold its decision. The 28-year-old, who owns a 2.08 ERA and 26:13 K:BB through 26 innings this season, will be eligible to rejoin the big-league bullpen for Sunday's series finale against the Mets.
