The Giants announced Friday that they have sold the rights to first baseman Brett Pill to the KIA Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Pill has agreed to a deal with the Tigers, pending a physical, which will take place after Christmas. He will remain on the Giants' 40-man roster until the deal is finalized. Pill hit .224/.272/.376 with three home runs and 12 RBI in 85 at-bats with the Giants last season and .344/.379/.630 with 18 home runs and 79 RBI in 276 at-bats with Triple-A Fresno.
