Valera has a chance to develop into an outfielder who hits for a high average and hits for plus power, but he only played six games at Low-A last season, so he is hardly ready to have success against big-league pitching. It's unclear exactly how much action players such as Valera will get off the taxi squad this year, but it is very unlikely that he provides notable value in redraft leagues.
