The Reds released Coleman last week, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Coleman joined the Reds on a minor-league contract in January and had been working in relief this season with Triple-A Louisville. He put up a respectable 2.21 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 36.2 innings, but with a promotion to the big club not in the works, Coleman decided to explore his options elsewhere. The right-hander appeared in 61 games with the Dodgers in 2016, supplying a 4.69 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over 48 innings.
