Kelenic, who went 2-for-4 with a two-run double, a walk and a run in a win over the Astros on Wednesday, is hitting .269 over his last six games overall.

While that figure doesn't necessarily jump off the page, it represents some long-awaited improvement for Kelenic, whose undeniably elite skills haven't translated well to the big-league ranks thus far. The rookie still possesses an abysmal .165/.245/.291 slash line for the season, but his 17 extra-base hits (nine doubles, eight home runs) have helped lead to a serviceable 28 RBI over 71 games.
