Mariners CEO John Stanton said Wednesday that he expects Kelenic to be on the 30-man taxi squad this year, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Given the unique circumstances, each team will get a taxi squad, and it has been rumored that members of the taxi squad will not accumulate major-league service time. With that, the Mariners will likely use Kelenic and their other elite prospects -- Julio Rodriguez, Cal Raleigh, Logan Gilbert, George Kirby, Emerson Hancock -- as part of the group, allowing them to work out with the big-league club and making them eligible to be added to the roster if needed.
