Hernandez (1-2) allowed two unearned runs on four hits and five walks over 5.2 innings Friday, striking out three and taking a loss against Pittsburgh.

Hernandez allowed a run in the first inning on a fielding error by Jazz Chisholm and another in the sixth after a passed ball. Despite walking a career-high five batters, the 26-year-old actually lowered his ERA to 3.59 through 42.2 innings. Hernandez had walked just five batters through 19.1 innings in his previous four starts. He's lined up to face the Nationals at home next week.
