Tazawa (ribs) threw a bullpen session Monday and could embark on a rehab assignment in the near future, Tim Healey of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Although the veteran reliever felt strong following the bullpen outing, it seems like his rehab assignment won't happen until he can find a new interpreter. His normal interpreter also translates for Ichiro Suzuki, meaning that Tazawa currently has no one to help him while he's away from the team. Manager Don Mattingly commented that Tazawa will definitely need minor-league innings prior to returning.
