Diaz is the 27th man for Tuesday night's game against the Mets, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. He's batting fifth and playing first base.

Diaz has hit .337 with six home runs and 13 RBI since being optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville at the beginning of August. Given his strong production over the last month, the 24-year-old prospect could remain with the Marlins once rosters expand to 28 on Wednesday, although there's been no indication yet the team plans on keeping him beyond Tuesday.
