Diaz was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The 24-year-old was promoted to the majors Tuesday and appeared in four games during his brief time on the team, going 2-for-13 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and two runs. Even if he returns to the big leagues, Diaz is unlikely to see much playing time this season while first baseman Jesus Aguilar remains healthy.
