Familia (6-3) took the loss Friday as the Mets fell 6-5 to the Dodgers in 10 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk in one inning without striking out a batter.

With the score tied 4-4, Familia entered the game to begin the 10th inning and promptly served up a leadoff homer to Will Smith, bringing home the phantom runner as well. To run salt in the wound, the Mets were able to get one run across against Kenley Jansen in the bottom of the 10th. Familia is having a rough August, posting a 7.50 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 5:3 K:BB through six innings across seven appearances, and his high-leverage opportunities will dry up down the stretch if he can't turn things around.
