Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Departs early with injury
Syndergaard exited Sunday's game against the Nationals early after suffering an apparent injury in the second inning, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Syndergaard appeared to reach for his lat/arm area after apparently injuring himself on a pitch to Bryce Harper in the second inning. After meeting with the team's trainer at the mound, the ace was immediately removed from the game. Over 1.1 disastrous innings, Syndergaard allowed five earned runs on five hits and two walks. An update on his injury should become available in the near future.
