The Nationals outrighted Baldonado to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Maria Torres of The Athletic reports.

Baldonado was one of three pitchers cast off the 40-man roster Wednesday as the rebuilding Nationals look to open up space heading into the offseason. The 28-year-old lefty reliever reached the big leagues for the first time in 2020, appearing in 14 games while giving up 10 earned runs over 10.2 innings.
