Marmolejos was officially activated from the 60-day disabled list and optioned to Double-A Harrisburg, Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports.

The first baseman has been playing for a few weeks now but has technically been on a rehab assignment, batting .385/.453/.631 with three home runs and 13 RBI in 75 plate appearances for Harrisburg this year. Marmolejos has no real shot of any significant time with the Nationals unless they pile up injuries, but the 24-year-old is increasing his stock for the long term and should head to Triple-A Syracuse in the coming weeks or months. Unfortunately, he'll have to prove he'll carry enough power to generate much interest as a first baseman.
