Nationals' Max Scherzer: Collects 14th victory of campaign
Scherzer (14-5) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven across six innings to earn the victory Friday against the Phillies.
Scherzer gave up a three-run homer in the first inning, but settled down well while the Nationals offense gave him plenty of run support, leading to his 14th victory of the campaign. Despite the mediocre outing, he continues to be a fantasy ace, as evidenced by his 2.32 ERA. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Braves.
